From Accessory Exporter to Hair Industry Pioneer: The Story of Ashish Sharma and Vicyhair.

Back in 1991, when there was no internet, no fancy channels, no social media or any other major source of information; one was fully and solely dependent on the Doordarshan channel or newspaper for knowledge update. It was then a young lad of about eighteen years read news about a fashion show of an Indian designer somewhere in Europe. That boy young and energetic got so fascinated with the fact that an Indian designer can conduct a fashion show abroad that he was determined to explore the International market and make a mark for himself. He strongly believed that –”Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen” and he started working on his dreams with his eyes on the stars and feet on the ground. He chased perfection and caught excellence.  Soon in 1996, he formed his first export company and became a competent exporter of Indian accessories. This dynamic young man had taken his victories and even cherished them, but he did not settle for them. Very soon he realized that a woman’s beauty enhancement does not only just stop at accessories, a very important aspect to enhance looks was lustrous hair which she wears it like a queen’s crown. And here this enterprising young man devoted his understanding in creating this “Jewel of the Crown”. This gave way in 1999 to his establishing association with French fashion designers to improve quality as per international norms and develop new and innovative hair products and wigs. This gave way to the origin of the brand hair5.in. And this young energetic man is Mr. Ashish Sharma, the founder of hair5.in. Since then it has been almost twenty seven years that Mr. Sharma has been fulfilling the needs in the hair industry. His company solely dealt in dealing with B to B customers all over the world.

But one cannot ignore the vision and mission of Mr. Sharma. He had always promoted handwork for the past three decades in India. The major reason for doing so is to give employment to the artisan and let the world see the beauty of their work. He is a staunch believer of women empowerment which makes his vision and mission very lucid.
